Jobs at BK Health
We have no preconceptions as to who should deliver individual episodes of care. Indeed our own research suggests that other health professionals could manage approximately 80% of work currently done by GPs. We therefore develop our staff teams by addressing three fundamental questions:
What services need to be delivered?
Who is the best person to deliver that service?
What is the most clinically effective and cost-effective way of providing the services?
Staff at BK Health sites will need to share some common attributes, whatever their role. First and foremost, they will be dedicated to high quality patient care; and be prepared to work in partnership with patients and with other professionals. They will be innovative, and be prepared to challenge traditional practices from time to time. They will be prepared to have a go, to make mistakes, and to learn from them.
The quality of service is governed by quality of staff. Therefore we put a great emphasis on staff support, training and development. All staff will have a personally designed programme including a personal learning needs assessment, personalised and structured curriculum; development time and provision of development activities such as clinical meetings, clinical supervision and PDP/appraisals.
Staff need to feel a sense of being part of their work. BK Health believes that the provision of primary care is a business, albeit contracted to the NHS. If the business is successful, staff would like to share in that success.
If you feel that you have something to offer BK Health, or if you would be interested in setting up a new BK Health site in your area, please contact Claire Crook.
