Our Sites
BK Health is involved in a number of sites in the UK. Find out more by selecting from the list on the left.
In addition to our sites in Oxford, we currently have two other sites.
The first, Tithebarn Health Centre, in Stockton on Tees, is a “brown-field” site serving a deprived estate in Stockton on Tees, which previously had no local primary health care provision. Under a PMS contract (with North Tees PCT) we have set up a new Practice, recruited an excellent primary health care team and are providing much welcomed services to the local population.
Since starting at this site, we have been asked to take on two additional contracts for the local PCT: providing primary care services for prisoners at Kirklevington Grange Prison and providing intermediate care services for early discharge patients in a local Older Persons Home.
Our second site was White Rose Medical Centre (with branches in Deri and Fochriw) in Caerphilly. Caerphilly Local Health Board was left directly managing three local practices after the simultaneous retirement of three single-handed GPs in 2003. We amalgamated the practices under a single GMS contract and between September 2004 and March 2007 achieved successful "turnaround to sustainability" with a new team of GPs. This Practice is now run independently by a local GP partnership.
Berryfields Medical Centre is designed to serve a large new housing estate outside Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a Home Office designated "growth area" and will invlove development of 6,000 new dwellings over the next few years. The core Primary Care team is in place in temporary purpose built accommodation, and the Practice opened in October 2007.
