This Health Centre provides care for a deprived estate on the outskirts of Oxford. After the departure of a single-handed GP in 1999, Barton was left without local access to GP services. Working in partnership with the then Oxford City PCG and another local practice, we set up a new service in the heart of the community. The practice now offers substance msuse, midwifery and smoking cessation services in addition to GP, nurse and phlebotomy clinics.
