Tithebarn Medical Centre & Kirlevington Grange Prison

Tithebarn Medical Centre, in Stockton on Tees, is a “brown-field” site serving a deprived estate in Stockton on Tees, which previously had no local primary health care provision. Under a PMS contract (with North Tees PCT) we have set up a new site, recruited an excellent primary health care team and are providing much welcomed services to the local population.

As part of this contract, we have also taken on care of prisoners at the local Category C prison, Kirklevington Grange. This innovative contract involves prisoners being given the opportunity to develop and hold their own records, come out of the prison to consult at the practice, and close partnership working between prison and community medical and nursing staff.

Our intermediate care contract provides interim GP care to early discharge patients at 2 local nursing homes, prior to patients moving back to their homes and the care of their registered GP.
